  5. It’s 2 tsp of cooking oil.

Then add the prawns and toss them through.

Once the prawns are pink and almost cooked through, add the Chinese Shaoxing cooking wine.

Allow the wine to sizzle for half a minute.

We served these creamy Malaysian butter prawns recipe in a creamy curry leaf sauce over a big bowl of steamed rice.

Butter prawn curry instructions

  1. First fry the prawns in a pan with oil. Then add cooking sauce. You can add as much as you want. It depends on how thick you want your gravy. Then mix them and add little bit of water. Cover with the lid and cook it in medium to low heat..

  2. Once the prawns are cooked garnish with fresh coriander. Serve with flatbread or rice. As we love spicy curry I have added some chilli flakes on top..
