Simple Sindhi Lunch. Simple Sindhi Lunch This is a simple Sindhi lunch I tried from Alka's SindhiRasoi. I had split green mung dal with me and made her Saayi Dal and also her gastronomic delight Took Patata. I love potatoes and it is always a staple but this double deep frying was new to me.

It is made using Bhindi and Onion.

It also contains tomatoes, green chilies, and a few other spices.

Mix all of them and cook in some water and you are good to go.

Ingredients of Simple Sindhi Lunch

  1. It’s of Khichdi.

  2. Prepare of rice.

  3. Prepare of green Moong dal Split.

  4. Prepare of Salt.

  5. You need of For Tadka of Khichdi.

  7. Prepare of Rai.

  8. You need of medium sized potatoes cut.

  9. Prepare of Aloo and karela Sabzi.

Simple Sindhi Lunch instructions

  1. Wash and Soak Rice and Dal for half an hour..

  2. Take a cooker. Put this rice and Dal along with water. Water should be 1:4 ratio. Give 4 5 whistles. After the cooker is cool down mash it with a wooden whisk. Dont use electric blender as it will not taste good. Add water if required as we need Khichdi consistency. Simmer the gas..

  3. By that time fry potatoes and kerelas separately..

  4. Now take same kadhai after reducing oil or another pan with one teaspoon of oil. Add hing and green chillies. Now put potatoes and kerelas..

  5. Add all masalas to it. Mix well. Add two three drops of water if u feel its very dry and cover it for 2- 3 mins..

  6. Now for Khichdi.. take vagara. Add ghee. Now when it is hot add mustard seeds. When it crackles add to Khichdi. Khichdi is done and ready to serve hot with Dahi and papad..

  7. Now aloo and kerelas are also ready garnish with coriander leaves. And serve hot..

The methi flavor, tangy taste were like vathal kuzhambu and the flavor of mixture of veggies used - drumstic, radish, cluster beans, were like sambar.

So from that time I wanted to try at home, but lazy me never did until today.
