You need 1 cup of raw moong dal.

It’s 1.1/2 cup of small cubed lauki.

Prepare 2 of medium sized karela chopped finely into rounds.

You need 2 tsp of mustard oil.

Bitetr gourds comes in two vaieties - smaller ones and the bigger ones.
Smaller ones are called ucche in Bengali are more bitter than the bigger ones, knowns as Korola or karela (in Hindi).
For this recipe, if you can find the smaller ones, or ucche it would be good.
Garnish it with fresh finely chopped coriander leaves.

Cube lauki and pressure cook in little salted water upto 2 whistles,release steam and open lid.
