How to Love Eating on a Dime Aloo Methi ke Sabji Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Aloo Methi ke Sabji. Aloo Methi Ki Sabzi is an Indian style easy to make curry with potatoes and loads of fresh fenugreek leaves along with spices makes it perfect to be served with homemade phulkas. Aloo Methi Ki Sabzi is the dish that I prepare more often when fresh fenugreek leaves are in season. The Aloo Methi Sabzi Recipe is a quick, simple and nutritious vegetables that is packed with flavors from the sauteed methi leaves also known as fenugreek leaves.

Serve the aloo methi ki sabji with parathas, rotis or rice-dal combo.

If using baby potatoes, then keep the skin on.

If making for fasting, then add rock salt/sendha namak.

Ingredients of Aloo Methi ke Sabji

  1. You need 1 of big bunch Methi (washed and chopped).

  2. It’s 3 of potatoes cut in cubes.

  3. You need 3 of chopped onions.

  4. Prepare 2 of chopped tomatoes.

  5. You need 2 of chopped green chillis.

  6. Prepare 1 tsp. of Ginger garlic paste.

  7. It’s 1/2 tsp. of Haldi powder.

  8. It’s 1 & 1/2 tsp. of Red chilli powder.

  9. You need 1 & 1/4 tsp. of Dhaniya powder.

  10. Prepare 1 tsp. of Jeera.

  11. Prepare 1/4 tsp. of Hing.

  12. You need 1 tsp. of Chopped coriander leaves.

  13. You need of Salt as per taste.

  14. Prepare 1 & 1/2 tbsp of . Cooking oil.

Note: in the step by step pics, aloo methi is made with regular potatoes.

The final pics have baby potatoes.

Methi is known for its different nutritional values as it contains vitamin K, vitamin C, Calcium, vitamin A etc.

It is also known to have strong antioxidants which are good for health.

Aloo Methi ke Sabji instructions

  1. Heat 1 & 1/2 tbsp. Cooking oil in a nonstick pan. As its hot 1 tsp. Jeera, as it splutters add 1/4 tsp. Hing, 2 chopped green chillis & 3 chopped onions, add little salt & saute the onions for 2 minutes, and add 1 tsp. Ginger garlic paste, saute until the paste gets properly fried & add 2 chopped tomatoes & keep frying until tomates are cooked. Now add dry masalas.

  2. 1/2 tsp. Haldi powder, 1 & 1/2 tsp. Red chilli powder & 1 & 1/4 tsp. Dhaniya powder & fry the masala for approx 2 minutes & add 3 potatoes cut in cubes mix it & add 1 big bunch methi(washed & chopped) & keep stirring until all the ingredients gets mixed well in masalas. Now add salt as per taste..

  3. Cover the lid and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the sabji is cooked (keep stirring in between) As the sabji is cooked open the lid and fry the alu methi sabji for a minute. And its done. OUR ALU METHI KE SABJI is ready to serve…
