  2. In a mixer grinder add fried items along with coconut grind into smooth paste..

Growing up, Paruppu thogayal for me was a different style.

My Amma makes a version with urad dal and coconut.

Dry fry the dhal in a kadai without oil till it turns light pink.

Put it in a mixie along with chilli, garlic and salt.
