Ingredients of Italian Style Mac N Cheese

  1. You need 1 of 16oz bag of Large Ellbow Noodles.

  2. It’s 2 can of 8oz cans of tomato sause.

  3. You need 16 oz of water.

  4. You need 2 tbsp of butter.

  5. Prepare 1 dash of salt and pepper.

  6. It’s 3 cup of shreaded cheese.

  7. It’s 1 tsp of italian seasoning.

  8. It’s 1 tsp of ground oregano.

Only problem, the cheeses I have in the refrigerator lean more toward Italian, fontina, asiago, and parmesan, rather than the usual cheddar fare.

Add in the cheese and mix until melted into the sauce over very low heat.

Once the cheese has melted down, add in the pasta and mix until the macaroni is fully coated by the cheese sauce.

Pour the macaroni and cheese into a baking dish.

  1. Cook noodles.

  2. while noodles are cooking combine one can of tomato sause, water (two cans filled), spices, and butter in crock pot.

  3. add 2 cups of cheese.

  4. drain noodles and add to crock pot mix well ( some cheese will stick).

  5. top with remaining cheese last can of tomato sause and a dash or 2 of spices to give it a kick cover and cook for one hour.

  6. cheese should be thoroughly melted mix well and serve.

Spread evenly over the baking dish and place into the oven.

There's not much "cheese" IN the recipe so much as its a topping.

I just couldn't get around the texture and lack of cheese in the sauce and lack of seasoning.

I included Italian seasoning into this recipe so at least I'd be able to say its Italian Mac & Cheese.
