Easiest Way to Diet Yummy Spicy Rohu fish Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Spicy Rohu fish. Rui Mach (Rohu Fish) is probably the only fish that is available in abundance anywhere in India and my Bengali heart thanks the suppliers for that. This is the frequently bought fish in my home and I actually love to cook it in different ways and don't usually repeat one recipe twice in a month. Authentic Rohu (Labeo Rohita) curry recipe, cooked in mustard oil and tomatoes.

Bengali people never think about any special occasion without "Rui Machher Kalia".

Here I'm sharing that authentic recipe which all of the Bengali people love.

Rui Machher Kaliya is cooked in a very rich way.

You can have Spicy Rohu fish using 11 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Spicy Rohu fish

  1. It’s 500 gm of rahu fish.

  2. It’s 2 of onion paste.

  3. You need 4 of spring onion chopped.

  4. You need 2 of capsicum sliced.

  5. You need 1 tsp of Ginger paste.

  6. You need 2 tsp of Turmeric Powder.

  7. Prepare 2 of kashmiri lal mirch(red chilli) power.

  8. It’s 4 tsp of mustared oil.

  9. You need 2 tsp of coriander leaves chopped.

  10. Prepare 2 tsp of mustard and poppy seed paste.

  11. Prepare to taste of Salt.

Most flavorful tasty sweet water fish is Rohu.

This fish is from Carp family.

So how does Rui (Rohu) Macher (Fish) Tel Jhal (Rich Curry) actually taste like?

In simple words, one bite of this fish curry with a hand full of rice in your mouth will give you a food orgasm.

Spicy Rohu fish instructions

  1. At first marinate fish with 1tsp Turmeric Powder and salt.

  2. Heat oil in a pan fry the fish till brown..

  3. Now in same oil add capsicum and shallow fry them and fry all paste and powder 1 minute in low flame..

  4. When the spice start releasing oil add 2 cups of water.

  5. After water is boiled add fried fish and salt to taste.

  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Rohu Fish Curry is made with rohu fish cubes slow cooked in a rich, flavorful and medium spicy sauce with a touch of coconut milk.

I have used rohu fish, but you can substitute rohu fish with any fish of your choice.
