Thepla is famous Gujarati Snack bread. There are many variant of theplas like dudhi thepla, methi thepa.
I have used fresh methi in this recipe.
This is a heirloom recipe that I have learned from my grandma.

Ingredients of Methi thepla or dhebra

You need 2 cup of whole wheat flour.

Prepare 3 cup of bajra (millet) flour.

You need 500 gm of fenugreek leaves (methi leaves).

You need 250 gm of lauki (bottle ground).

It’s 2 tsp of sugar.

It’s to taste of Salt.

It’s 1 tsp of turmeric powder.

Prepare 1 tbsp of crushed cumin seed (zeera).

It’s 1 tbsp of crushed red chilli flakes.

You need 1 tbsp of chat masala.

You need 2 tbsp of green chilli (finely chopped).

Prepare 3 tbsp of sesame seed.

You need 1/4 cup of yogurt.

You need 2 tbsp of melted butter.

Prepare of oil for deep frying.

Firstly cleaned & wash (3-4 times) fenugreek leaves n finely chopped it, set aside.

Grate lauki, set aside.

Mix all dry ingredients then add melted butter n mix it.

Add fenugreek leaves, lauki & yogurt n mix it.

Make a soft dough with water(add slowly little by little At a time).

Rest for 30 minutes.

Take a small ball sized dough.

Grease ur both hand palms n flattened it with ur palms.

Deep fry it on medium high flame.

Serve with raita, chatni & chaas (Lassi).
