This curry recipe is cooked by marinating ilish fish with turmeric powder and salt, and cooking it in curd and ground spices.

Doi Ilish, needless to say, is a signature Bengali delicacy.

You can cook Dahi Hilsa fish steamed using 8 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

  1. Prepare of Hilsa fish pieces cut into round shaped.

  2. You need of Curd.

  3. It’s of Sesame seeds.

  4. You need of poppy seeds.

  5. You need of Green Chillies.

  6. It’s of red chillies.

  7. You need of Mustard oil.

  8. It’s of Salt.

Dahi Hilsa fish steamed instructions

  1. Heat steamer pan with water.

  2. Make a paste of seasame seed, poppy seed, green chillies, curd & salt in a mixi..

  3. Take the paste as above in a bowl, add fish pieces & mustard oil & mix it properly..

  4. Transfer the entire thing into another container with cover & place inside the steamer. Put the red splited chillies on the top of the mass..

  5. Put the steamer on for. After 20 mins put the flame off & keep for 10 mins as standing time..

  6. Dish is now ready to serve..

This fish has a wonderful flavor in it, so no need to add lots of spices to cook it.
