Ingredients of Methi Chi Patal Bhaji

  1. You need 2 cup of chopped fenugreek leaves (methi).

  2. It’s 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.

  3. Prepare 2 tsp of grated coconut.

  4. You need 2 tsp of besan.

  5. Prepare 1 tsp of chopped onions.

  6. It’s 1 tsp of pure oil.

  7. You need 1/2 cup of boiled chickpeas.

  8. Prepare 1 tsp of oil.

  9. You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.

  10. Prepare 1 /2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  11. Prepare to taste of salt.

  12. It’s 1 tsp of sugar.

  13. You need 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.

Patal bhaji means gravy in marathi.

Here the boiled methi leaves are cooked with besan to prepare the gravy.

Meanwhile, dry roast peanuts, green chilies separately.

Methi Chapathis, Palakachi Patal Bhaji ,Radish leaves stir fry.

Methi Chi Patal Bhaji step by step

  1. Combine the besan with enough water to make a smooth paste.Add 1/2 tsp of onion & few chopped coriander leaves.Mix well & keep aside..

  2. Sprinkle some salt on fenugreek leaves & keep itaside for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes,wash them with fresh water 2_3 times..

  3. Heat oil in a karahi or pan,add cumin seeds in it.When the seeds crackle,add fenugreek leaves,red chilli powder &turmeric powder.Mix well.

  4. Cook on the low flame for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally..

  5. Add the besan_ water mixture,boiled chickpeas,salt & sugar.Mix well & add coriander leaves.Mix again & cook on the low flame for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally..

  6. For the tempering, heat 1 tsp of pure oil in a pan add grated coconut & ginger - garlic paste..

  7. Put the cooked methi patal bhaji in a serving bowl & pour tempering over it..

  8. Serve hot with chapati..
