Recipe: Appetizing My mom's Fried squash Delicious, fresh and tasty.

My mom's Fried squash. Growing up in the country, my mom would fix this recipe, and I loved the bit of sweetness it had along with the crispy crunch!. I was chatting with my sister, Melinda, one day and we were talking about all our favorite foods mom used to make and how we wished we had written down all of her recipes before she passed. I mentioned squash patties and my sister said, "Oh, I have that one." If I recall, I may have shed a few happy tears!

Of course, most veggies got breaded and fried in the South.

Since I always just make squash plain in a pan or on the grill, I decided to do something a little different today.

I battered and fried my yellow squash and it came out delicious!
