Recipe: Delicious Indian Tacos Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Indian Tacos. Indian tacos of homemade fry bread topped with chili, cheese, lettuce, and tomato are a favourite at Aboriginal Pow Wows all summer long. The flavors were definitely there, but I do prefer the Indian tacos in which the dough is a yeast-raised dough. Somehow, that seems to fry up even better!

If I didn't fix them each year, I'm sure I'd have a rebellion on my hands.

The original recipe was given to me by a Native American Indian in Colorado whose husband was a chief on their tribe's ranch.

The first time we had them with this couple, I knew it was a winner.

It's the wrong fry bread because I messed it up.

But I'd already made the taco toppings and was running out of time, so I went ahead and finished the tacos, planning to make a better batch of fry bread later..
