My tiramisu recipe is so popular that I always think of new ways to combine these classic flavors in more desserts.

Ingredients of Tiramisu cake

  1. It’s of Mascarpone cream.

  2. You need 1.5 cup (375 ml) of whipping cream.

  3. Prepare 1 cup (250 ml) of mascarpone cheese.

  5. You need 5 tbsp of sugar.

  6. It’s 1.5 tsp of vanilla paste or extract.

  7. Prepare of Soaking syrup.

  8. It’s 3 of heaped tbsp coffee (House of Coffees Special Blend).

  9. Prepare 2 cup of hot water.

  10. It’s of Assembly.

  11. You need 1 pack (200 g) of Boudoir biscuits/ any ladyfinger cookies.

  12. You need of Cocoa powder for dusting.

Tiramisu cake step by step

  1. If you are making coffee in French press then do this step first. Boil water, let it sit for a minute. Add 3 tbsp coffee into the French press, add water and let it sit for as long as possible before plunging.

  2. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.

  3. In a bowl over simmering water (a bain-marie) whisk the egg yolks and sugar till pale and doubled in volume. You can use a hand mixer as you need to whisk the egg yolks from about 5-8 minutes.

  4. Take it off the stove and let cool.

  5. Fold the mascarpone with the cooled egg mixture.

  6. Add vanilla paste or extract.

  7. Whip cream till still peaks.

  8. Fold through the whipped cream.

  9. Use an 8 inch (20cm) springform tin Line the sides with baking paper.

  10. Dip boudoir biscuits in soaking syrup and lay first layer in the tin.

  11. Add a layer of mascarpone cream.

  12. Dust thin layer of cocoa powder. Repeat the layers.

  13. Put remaining cream in a piping bag Pipe dots all over the top of Tiramisu Dust top with cocoa powder Let it set in the fridge overnight.

Now I kinda need another, more relaxing vacation, haha!
