Fried matoke. Plantains are a hard, starchy tree fruit similar in density and texture to potatoes and winter squash. They were sweet, sprinkled with salt but they didn't need it. The plantain in the Latin world is much larger and has a slight different taste.

They came from one of the banana plants here in the compound and I have been thinking of different ways to use them up before they ripen.

It’s 6 of whole green bananas.

Prepare 2 of tomatoes.

Prepare 1 of onion.

Prepare of Garlic.

It’s of Salt.

The matoke fries developed a silky, sweeter, and layered flavors.

Fried matoke instructions

Peel your bananas and chop into pieces and set them aside in water..

Heat your sufuria and pour some oil and let it heat well.

Add in your chopped onions and garlic and let them cook till golden brown,add in your chopped tomatoes and stir till cooked then add in salt.

Add in your washed and chopped banana pieces and stir, then add a littlw water to boil then cover to simmer. Allow to cook for 30 minutes then serve with a drink of your choice. Enjoy😋😋!!.
