Wash the rice and dal separately..

Heat ghee and fry the rice and dry roast dal..

Fry the vegetables separately one by one..

In the same pan add oil if needed. Add bay leaf, ginger paste, turmeric, cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt..

Saute for few seconds. Now add tomato and fry till the raw smell goes.

Now add the rice and dal and add hot water. Let it simmer for 10 minutes..

Add the veggies and add water if needed. Cover and cook..

Once done add garam masala and ghee..
