  1. Prepare 1 cup of Gobinda bhog rice.

  2. Prepare 1 cup of Moong daal.

  3. You need 2 tbsp of Ghee.

  5. It’s 200 gm of Cauliflower.

  6. You need 1/2 cup of Green peas.

  7. It’s 4-5 pieces of Green chilli.

  11. It’s 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.

  12. Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin powder.

  13. You need 1 tsp of Sugar.

  14. You need 2 tbsp of Mustared oil.

  15. It’s as needed of Water.

  16. You need 1/2 tsp of Cumin seeds.

  17. It’s 2-3 pieces of Red chilli whole.

  18. You need 2-3 pieces of Bay leaves.

  19. Prepare 2-3 piece of each of whole spices like cardamom,cinnamon,cloves.

  20. Prepare 1 tbsp of Garam masala powder / Whole spices powder.

Bengali Style Bhog Khichdi step by step

  1. Wash the rice throughly and stain over a net. Spread it and leave it to dry..

  2. Heat pan and add daal and dry roast and turn it brown..

  3. Heat oil in a pan add rice and saute and then keep aside. Then add potato and fried well and keep aside. Then add cauliflower and fry it very well..

  4. Heat oil in a deep pan and add cumin seeds, red chilli whole and bay leaves and garam masala whole and saute till fragrent..

  5. Add ginger paste and saute and then add salt, turmeric powder and cumin powder and saute..

  6. Add tomato and cover and cook it 2-3 min. Add green peas and potatoes and green chilli and mix. Add rice and daal and mix it very well..

  7. Cover and cook it 5-6 min and then add water and add sugar and cover and cook it till the rice and daal are completely cooked..

  8. After that add cauliflower and ghee and garam masala powder and serve hot with bengali mixed vegetables and papad..
