Ingredients of Dragon Chicken

  1. Prepare Marinade of For.

  2. You need 500 gms of chicken Boneless.

  3. You need 1 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.

  4. You need 1 tsp of chili sauce Hot.

  5. You need 1 tsp of Soy sauce.

  7. It’s 1/4 cup of Cornflour.

  20. Prepare of Oil for deep frying.

  21. It’s 2 tbsps of Sesame oil.

It is a classic fried chicken-in-sauce kinda recipe, similar to the Asian Spicy Meatballs I did the other day.

Although it does have chili oil in it, its surprisingly medium on the heat scale and has a more sweet after-taste.

In frying pan,add oil and marinated chicken, fry until crispy and golden brown,set aside.

For Sauce: In wok,add oil,red chili crushed,garlic, ginger and sauté until golden.

Dragon Chicken instructions

  1. To a bowl add the ingredients mentioned for the marinade, mix well and marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour..

  2. Heat up oil and deep fry the marinated chicken. Fry till golden brown.  Drain off excess oil by placing on absorbent paper..

  3. Heat another pan and add sesame oil. Saute the ginger garlic paste till raw smell disappears. Then add onions and sauté till it becomes translucent..

  4. Now, reduce heat and add chilli powder. Stir for a few seconds and then add soy sauce, tomato sauce and honey..

  5. Finally, add the fried chicken along with cashewnuts. Mix well till the chicken is well coated with sauted mixture. Garnish with chives or spring onions..

  6. Switch off heat after a couple of minutes. Serve with fried rice..
