Easiest Way to Diet Appetizing Chicken Paprika Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Chicken Paprika. Well- I made it per the recipe and the chicken was really tender and sauce creamy BUT the paprika flavor was all it seemed to have. It is called Chicken Paprika but I was expecting some more depth and maybe a more complex flavor. Maybe if I used sweet along with smoky it would be more to my tastes.

The chicken broth, flour, sour cream, salt, pepper, red and green pepper and paprika were kept as is.

Pour chicken stock into the pan, and bring all to a boil.

Reduce heat to simmer; mix flour with sour cream until smooth, then whisk into chicken stock.

You can cook Chicken Paprika using 12 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Chicken Paprika instructions

  1. Melt butter and cooking oil in a large roasting pan over two burners. Cook chicken for 5 minutes on each side, until it starts to brown. Add onions and sauté for 5 more minutes. Add paprika, salt, pepper, bay leaves and chicken broth. (If you cant fit the chicken all in one pan you may have to cook it in batches then add all the chicken back in when everything else is cooked.).

  2. Cover and simmer until chicken is tender, about 1 hour..

  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and 1 cup of sour cream. Slowly ladle one cup of boiling chicken liquid to temper the sour cream. Add mixture to the chicken. Add remaining sour cream. Heat on low for 10 more minutes, but don’t let boil..

I use chicken parts, paprika, onions, sour cream, and not much else.
