Recipe: Perfect Tiffin sambar Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Tiffin sambar. idli sambar also known as tiffin sambar is a healthy & delicious mix vegetable dal soup served with South Indian breakfast foods. This idli sambar is a super fast recipe that uses only quick cook veggies. It is very delicious and can be served with idli, dosa, vada, pongal and even with rice.

Prepared with fresh ground sambar masala and toor dal.

To make the Tiffin Sambar: Wash mung dhal thoroughly till the water run clears.

Halfway through the cooking, you will notice white foam appearing on the corners of the pan.

Ingredients of Tiffin sambar

  1. It’s 1/2 cup of Toor dal.

  2. You need of Turmeric powder.

  1. Cook toor dal with turmeric powder and water in a pressure cooker.

  2. Grind all ingredients mentioned under to grind'.

  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add all the ingredients mentioned under to temper'. Add small onions and chopped carrot. Cook for a while. Add cooked dal and cook for few minutes. Then add the ground paste and finally tamarind pulp. Make it to boil. Add required salt. And finally garnish with coriander leaves..
