Sometimes I use my pizza dough recipe (because let's face it, making your own is always better) but on days that I need dinner done in a flash, the cheat way comes in quite handy.

I have a small cast frying pan but it is not heavy base enough and a bit deep frying pan.

  1. Heat your oven to its highest setting. Using a large frying pan heat it up throw in the onion and squeeze out the sausage from their skins into chunks and gently fry them..

  2. Whilst the onion and sausage are cooking. In a large bowl put the flour and water and salt. Mix into a ball and knead well..

  3. When the sausage and onion are cooked take them out of the pan and set aside..

  4. Take the dough and roll into a circle then pop it in the pan still on the hob on a medium setting and push around the edges. Then throw on all the ingredients. Keep it on the hot hob for 5 minutes or so..

  5. Then transfer it to the hot oven and cook it for a further 10 minutes or a until it’s cooked all the way through! Serve !.

Tear half a ball of mozzarella and dot around the base.

Sprinkle the grated parmesan over this.

Add other toppings (not included in the nutritional info here).

Scatter the chilli and fennel on top.

Each pizza was scored on a scale of one to five for its cheese, crust and sauce.
