This sweet is prepared with poori and sweetened milk.

Ingredients of Paal poli/milk poli

  1. You need For of making puris.

  2. Prepare 1 cup of refined flour /maida.

  3. Prepare 1 tbsp of semolina/fine sooji.

  4. It’s 1 tsp of oil.

  5. You need Pinch of salt.

  6. Prepare as needed of Water.

  7. You need For deep frying of Oil.

  8. You need For of flavoured milk.

  9. You need 2 cups of milk.

  10. It’s 2 tbsp of milk powder(opt).

  11. Prepare strands of Few saffron.

  12. You need 1/4 cup of sugar.

  13. You need 1/4 tsp of cardmom powder.

  14. You need 2 tbsp of chopped nuts(cashewnuts,almonds,pistachio).

Poori can be prepared with maida / all purpose flour or chiroti rava.

Similarly sweetened milk can be made by boiling and reducing the milk adding sugar or by adding condensed milk.

How to Serve Paal poli: Keep some milk for aside, take the rest and add this milk over the pooris in the plate.

Flip the pooris and make them get soaked well on both sides.

Paal poli/milk poli step by step

  1. Firstly in a large kadhai heat milk with some saffron strands.

  2. Stir and boil the milk, boil till milk thickens slightly.

  3. Further add sugar, milk powder, cardmom powder, and chopped nuts stir well, boil until milk thickens well (dont make thick as rabdi).

  4. Once done Switch off the flame,transfer this in bowl and keep aside.

  5. To prepare puris in a mixing bowl add maida, sooji, salt, 1tsp oil and add water and prepare a puri dough.

  6. Make small balls out of dough and roll it to 4-5 inch diameter.

  7. Now fold the rolled dough to make it half circle.

  8. Again fold a poori to tringale shape,repeat the process for rest pooris.

  9. Heat oil in a kadai and fry this triangular puris.

  10. Once done remove on a plate.

  11. Now dip the pooris in warm milk and allow it to sit atleast for 10 mins or until puris absorbs milk and turns to soft puris.

  12. Finally enjoy with chopped nuts.

  13. Note - you can use wheat flour instead of maida for making puris.

Now shift the pooris to the serving bowl.

Pour the milk kept aside on top.

Sprinkle grated badam or pistas and serve.
