All i do is vary the cereals used: Njahi, Njügü(Mbaazi),green peas, green maize and at times i do "mukimo nyama" or Mukimo. unripe bananas, ripe bananas, kgs of njahi boiled and mashed, Meat, Salt, tomatoes, coriander Alvy Bryan.

Ingredients of Mükimo(Njahi)

  1. You need 1 cup of Njahi(boiled).

  2. It’s of Green bananas cooked(Hot).

  3. You need 2 of large onions.

  4. Prepare 3 of stems spring onions.

  5. Prepare 1 Teaspoon of miced garlic and ginger.

  6. You need 1 Teaspoon of rosemary.

  7. Prepare 1/2 Teaspoon of gram masala spice.

  8. You need to taste of Salt.

  9. It’s 1 Tablespoon of margarine/butter.

Mükimo(Njahi) instructions

  1. Under medium heat fry the onions, ginger, garlic and rosemary powder..

  2. Add spring onions.

  3. Add the Njahi.

  4. Keep turning to avoid burning.

  5. Add the green bananas, they should be hot for them to be mashed easily.

  6. Start mashing and mixing them.

  7. Add margarine/butter and continue mashing until its smooth..

  8. Serve with your favourite stew, kachumbari or guacamole.
