Grind urad daal to a smooth paste. Grind millet coarsely. Add little water while grinding millet to get perfect grinding..

Grind rice to a smooth paste, add salt mix well. Keep batter for fermentation over night. If you are staying in a cooler place warm the tawa and keep batter above it. Or switch on oven for a few seconds switch off and keep batter inside the oven..

Put batter in greased idli plates. Steam for 12-15 minutes. Serve hot with chutney and ghee..
Using sharp spoon, remove idli from idli plates.
