Soak methi seeds in a separate bowl.

Once soaked, blend millet, dal and methi seeds together in a mixer into a fine batter.

Make sure you keep it covered and undisturbed in a cool dark place.

Proso millet Stuffed Idli is prepared with Proso millet, Urad dal, Poha, Fenugreek seeds, Potatoes, Green peas, Carrots, Onion, Lemon, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Spices.

Add some water to the fermented millet idli batter if required, mix well.

Fill the idli mould with the prepared idli batter.

Porso millet and dal Idli step by step

  1. Soak porso millet, daliya,dal and methi seeds separately overnight.

  2. Grind them all in the morning and mix together.

  3. Keep for fermentation for 5-6 hours.

  4. Add salt to taste And Mix well.

  5. Grease the Idli mould Keep the steamer ready.

  6. Pour batter in the greased mould and place it in the steamer..

  7. Let it steam for 10-15 minutes Take out when done.

  8. Enjoy with coconut chutney.

Do not grind millet and urad dal together for idli.

For dosa, you can grind together.
