This healthy prawn delight is a perfect brunch/lunch recipe and is very easy to prepare.

There are many ways a Indo chinese chilli recipe is made, this recipe is quite simple and made with very few ingredients and mostly healthy since there is no deep frying involved.

For preparing this easy appetizer recipe, wash and remove the veins of the prawns.

Heat a pan over medium flame and in the butter, toss the prawns till they turn slight golden in colour.

You can cook Chilly Prawns.. an exotic delight using 15 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Chilly Prawns.. an exotic delight

  1. Prepare 250 grams of prawns.

  2. You need 1 tsp of salt.

  3. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp of Red chilly powder.

  4. It’s 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  5. It’s 2 tsp of corn flour.

  6. You need 4 tbsp of refined cooking oil to fry.

  7. Prepare 3 large of green chillies, slit.

  8. It’s 1 large of onion , chopped.

  9. Prepare 1 large of bell pepper, chopped.

  10. Prepare 1 of few cillantro, celery or curry leaves , cut.

  11. You need 1/4 tsp of soy sauce.

  12. It’s 1 tsp of chilly sauce.

  13. You need 1 1/2 tsp of tomato sauce.

  14. It’s 1 tsp of oil (for stir fry).

  15. Prepare 1 of egg.

Take care not to over cook the prawns as they will turn hard. remove the prawns and keep them aside.

Place the prawns in a non-metallic dish.

Squeeze the lime juice over the prawns and stir in the oregano, thyme and Cayenne pepper.

Procedure: Clean and salt the prawns and then keep them aside.

Chilly Prawns.. an exotic delight step by step

  1. Add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, corn flour and egg to Prawns and mix well..

  2. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the prawns mixture mentioned above. Make sure all sides are fried well. It takes about 10 minutes to get it crunchy :).

  3. In a non-stick pan, add green chillies, onion, bell pepper, cillantro leaves (chopped or minced) and oil and stir well on flame.

  4. Add soy sauce, green chilly sauce and tomato sauce and again stir well.

  5. When it get half fried , add the fried prawns to it and stir well.

  6. Serve it hot. Taste best as a side dish with Fried rice, pasta etc.

  7. Shrimp can also be cooked with this recipe.
