Koli Saaru is a delectable Chicken dish from the region of Coorg.
The curry is made with freshly ground spices which enhances the flavor of the curry.
It's served as a side dish, it's eaten with Akki Roti or Rice.
I have used pressure cooker to speed up the time, but you can also slow cook it in a pot.

Grind onion separately..

And Grind Cocount and jeera together..

Take oil in kadai first put 1/2tsp mustard,cinnamon,clove and onion paste and fry for a while..

Add chicken with coriander pwd turmeric,chili powder and salt..

Now add coconut, jeera paste and Cook for 15 minutes..
Stir well and add the ginger garlic paste followed by the tomatoes.
Now, add some warm water, followed by coconut milk and the peanut butter.
When the chicken is cooked add the tamarind paste as well as the coriander leaves.
This is a Kanadiga style or Karnataka style chicken curry where there is hardly any use of chilly powder and all the flavours is from the fresh roasted garam masala and green chillies.
I had not tried making a chicken curry with green chillies alone and was apprehensive whether the spice levels will be ok with green chillies alone.
