Prepare 1/2 cup of besan.

It’s 1/2 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.

You need 2 tbsp of corn flour, to coat.

Prepare 1/4 tsp of garam masala powder.

Prepare as needed of oil for deep frying.

You need 2-4 of tomato, finely chopped.

I have not used any cream and used bottle gourd to make these koftas.
Bottle gourd has amazing health benefits and high in water content.
Bottle Gourd kofta curry step by step

In a bowl peel and grate the lauki and add salt and black pepper then squeeze well..

Now add the besan and spices and mix well and prepare kofta. While forming shape you can add 1 raisin or 1 tamarind pulp(This is completely optional,you can omit it But i like it so).

Now coat the koftas with corn flour and deep fry. Drain on the absorbent paper and keep aside..

Important to Note: After grating squeeze the bottle gourd to make the shape and crisp koftas..

While frying the flame plays an important role - Flame must be low to medium flame. otherwise the koftas will break in oil..

Curry: Heat oil in a pan and add cumin,green cardamom and bay leaf. Add turmeric and chilli powder..

Now add prepared onion tomato paste and saute well..

Add ginger garlic paste and cook til raw smell goes away..

Add coriander powder,cumin powder,red chilli and salt..

Add the squeezed water from lauki and 1 tablespoon of curd at room temperature…

Mix well and boil. Add garam masala and serve well with chapatis..

How to make Lauki Kofta curry : Take some grated bottle gourd, press out the juice, add chickpea flour, green chilli , ginger paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt.
Add carom seeds, green coriander, mix all ingredients well. once ready , keep dough aside to puff up.
Lauki Kofta Curry is a delicious Indian gravy dish which mainly comprises of two parts - Gravy made from onion tomato base & dumplings made from mixture of Bottle gourd, gram flour & flavored with spices.
