Tuver totha. Tuver na totha is simple, spicy and delicious North Gujarati winter recipe. Dry lentil is used to make this simple recipe. I used onion and spring onion with red chili, garlic, ginger to make tuver na totha.

Tuvar totha is also called tuvar sabji and it is widely enjoyed with bread.

Ingredients of Tuver totha

  1. You need of green totha.

  2. Prepare of tomato puree.

  3. Prepare of onion chopped.

  4. You need of chopped spring onion.

  5. It’s of green chopped garrlic.

  6. You need of ginger paste.

  7. Prepare of garlic paste.

  8. It’s of oil salt according to taste.

  9. You need of asafoetida.

  10. Prepare of turmeric powder.

  11. It’s of garam masala.

  12. You need of red chilli powder.

  13. Prepare of Paw.

Tuver totha instructions

  1. Add 1 glass water and salt in cooker. Also add tuver and cook for 3-4 whistle at medium to slow flame.boil properly.Take 1 tbsp boiled tuver and crushed in a mixture jar.keep aside..

  2. Heat oil in a pan at slow flame. Add asafetida and onion in it. Stir till colour appears light golden. Now add spring onion, ginger chilli paste, garlic and salt in it. Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes..

  3. Now mix tomato puree and cook for few second.By adding crushed tuver also cook for 2 minutes,Now mix salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala..

  4. Stir for few seconds. Add 1 cup water and tuver. Cook for 10- 15 minutes at slow flame.You can add more water according to your requirement. Mix lemon juice to taste. Garnish with spring onion or coriander..
