Garam masala- The traditional spice mix that is used in tikka masala is garam masala!

Ingredients of Garam masala meatballs

  1. It’s 1 pack of extra-lean ground chicken.

  2. You need 2 of large carrots, grated.

  3. Prepare 1/2 cup of cilantro leafs, finely chopped.

  4. Prepare 2 teaspoon of garam masala powder.

  5. It’s 1 teaspoon of dehydrated minced garlic.

  6. It’s 1 dash of hot sauce (I've used blair's afterdeath sauce).

  7. You need to taste of fresh ground black pepper.

We use a similar sauce in our vegetarian cauliflower tikka masala and it's seriously amazing.

The spice mix is a combination of cumin, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, fennel, mace, and dried chilis.

These easy Indian-style ground beef meatballs with masala sauce make a quick and easy meal.

Though beef isn't traditionally used in Indian cooking, spices like garam masala and turmeric actually pair very well with some simple ground beef.

Garam masala meatballs step by step

  1. Mix all ingredients together and make 1 1/4" balls. It should make around 20 meatballs, more if you make them smaller..

  2. Spray a baking sheet with some oil or cooking spray and display the meatballs on it..

  3. Cook in preheated oven at 350° for 20 minutes. You can broil them for a couple of minutes if you dont find them golden and crispy enough after 20 minutes of cooking..

  4. Serve with my twisted saag aloo recipe and some hot naan bread..

  5. Enjoy!.

The meatballs are flavored with lots of fresh ginger, garlic, cilantro and one of my favorite Indian spices, garam masala.

If you've never used garam masala it's a fragrant blend of warm spices that generally includes, cumin, coriander, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper.

Lightly brush a rimmed baking sheet with oil.

Purée scallions, jalapeños, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, garam masala, coriander, cumin, and cayenne in a blender until smooth.

In a bowl, combine all of the 'for the meatballs' ingredients.
