7 layer Tex-Mex dip. Worth Star-Telegram which I use to read faithfully. This has been my sons favorite dip for years. I've been known to pick them up in the store ( I KNOW I now have no food cred after admitting that) and he and I will share them and totally skip dinner.

A Mexican dip with layers of refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, black olives, tomatoes and cheddar cheese.

Serve with scoop chips, crackers or veggies.

I add taco seasoning to the meat after browning.

Warning though if you add the water it will make the dip hard to scoop.

  2. in separate bowl, combine sour cream, miracle whip, and taco seasoning.

  3. spread bean dip in large platter.

  4. top with avocado mixture.

  5. layer the sour cream mixture.

  6. sprinkle onions, diced tomatoes, and sliced olives..

  7. cover with cheddar cheese.

  8. serve chilled with tortilla chips.

Just add enough water to disolve the seasoning.
