Managu. The African nightshade / black nightshade, commonly referred to Kenya as Managu, is grown as an edible vegetable in Kenya. It’s 3 bunches of managu.

It’s 3/4 litre of milk or cream.

It’s to taste of Salt.

Prepare 1 of onion- chopped.

First i started by removing the leaves from the managu branches and then put to boil in a sufuria until tender. This should be for 20 to 30 minutes.

When boiling do not add too much water add 1 and 1/2 cups of water. the water should dry off..

In a different sufuria, fry the chopped onion until slighty brown..

Add the boiled Managu while continuing to stir. Then add salt to taste..

Reduce the heat to low heat then just allow the managu to simmer for about 3 minutes..

Add either cream or milk. I preferred milk because. it was easily affordable..

Cook for about 8 minutes and serve..
