Sesame laddu. Til ke laddu or sesame ladoos are traditional Indian sweet balls made with sesame seeds, jaggery and cardamom powder. These sweet balls not only taste delicious with a nutty aroma but are also rich in iron & calcium. Sesame ladoos are known by different names - til ladoo, ellu urundai, ellu unde or nuvvula undalu.

Til Ke Ladoo is a variety in ladoo that is enjoyed by many.

It is a favorite in Maharashtra and is served during Sankranthi festival which falls in the winter.

Til is a healthy option in winter and warms your body by giving energy.  Did you know - Til or Sesame seeds are rich in proteins, calcium, magnesium, zinc and phosphorous.

You can cook Sesame laddu using 4 ingredients and 2 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

  1. You need 2 Cups of sesame.

  2. You need 1 cup of crushed jaggery.

  3. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of pure ghee.

Transfer to a bowl & let it cool down completely.

You can skip this step and also use roasted unsalted.

This healthy version of sesame laddu, a.k.a til ke laddu, is perfect for elderly folks too since it is much easier on the teeth.

Plus, the subtle sweetness of dates, as opposed to the sharp sweetness of white sugar, is well appreciated by older folks.
