Parupu Thuvayal. For Paruppu thuvayal, add a few pieces of fresh curry leaves if you have them while grinding, it will taste so much better. First fry the dal and chilies with cooking oil..

In a mixer grinder add fried items along with coconut grind into smooth paste..

Usually paruppu thogayal will be in the menu if they make vatral kuzhambu…which is the best combo.
Dry fry the dhal in a kadai without oil till it turns light pink.
Put it in a mixie along with chilli, garlic and salt.
Add little water and grind to a coarse paste.
