Recipe: Yummy Aam Sandesh Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Aam Sandesh. Sandesh, an exquisite dessert from Bengal, unparalleled in its taste, and in purity is made with only two ingredients - chenna (the curd cheese) and sugar. Aam Sandesh combines the best of the season mangoes with soft Paneer / chhanna to result in a melt in the mouth sweet. Easy and Quick to make Bengali Sweet.

The mango flavour come out just strong enough to confirm its presence.

When some non-Bengali people ask for Bengali sweet, it must be either Rosogolla or Sandesh.

Aam Sandesh is Bengali's own sweet.

You can cook Aam Sandesh using 9 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Aam Sandesh

  1. It’s of Riped mangoes.

  2. It’s of grated Mawa/ Dried Milk.

  3. You need of Powdered Milk.

  4. You need of Ghee/ Clarified Butter.

  5. You need of Sugar.

  6. Prepare of Leaf section:.

  7. You need of tender Mawa.

  8. You need of Green food colour.

  9. It’s of Powdered Sugar.

Sometimes sugar can be replaced with Date palm jaggery or Nolen Gur.

I make here norom paak aam sandesh , which is really delicious in my family.

Aam Sandesh instructions

  1. For the Aam Sandesh, peel the mangoes, cut them into small pieces & blend the mango pieces well.

Take a non-stick pan in the gas, grease it with ghee, pour the blended mango & stir for 5 minutes. Now add sugar & stir(Ive used small amount of sugar as the mangoes used in it contribute to the sweetness of the dish).

  1. Add powdered milk, mawa & stir for quite some time in low flame..

  2. When this mixture thickens & gets separated from the pan, take it off from heat sauce..

  3. Cool this mixture properly, the mixture will solidify a bit & then make the Aam Sandesh as shown in the picture or shape it as per your wish.

For the leaf section, take a bowl, add tender Mawa, 1/2 teaspoon Powdered Sugar & mix well using hands. Now add a bit of edible green food colour, again mix it well & make leaf & stems with this mixture..

The kneaded channa which is cooked very little to achieve a melt in mouth is called NOROM PAAK.
