Curd poha (flattened rice). Dahi poha / thayir aval recipe - a simple and refreshing recipe of flattened rice / beaten rice with seasoned creamy yogurt. This recipe is very easy and is almost similar to the preparation of curd rice. Dahi poha is one of my favorite recipes for hot summer days as poha doesn't require much cooking time and yogurt is very cooling.

Sugar: To add the right amount of sweetness, little it of sugar is added to make poha in "dhai".

Cardamom: Cardamom is added to add flavor to the prepared Indian dish.

Dahi Poha is a simple recipe which can be made very easily.

You can have Curd poha (flattened rice) using 12 ingredients and 2 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Curd poha (flattened rice)

  1. It’s 2 cup of poha.

  2. You need 2 cup of curd.

  3. It’s 2 of green chillies.

  4. It’s 1 of red dry chilli.

  5. You need 1/2 tsp of mustard.

  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of jeera.

  7. Prepare 5-6 of curry leaves.

  8. It’s 1 tsp of sugar.

  9. Prepare to taste of salt.

  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of oil.

  11. You need 2 tsp of pea nuts (ground nuts).

  12. It’s 2 tsp of fresh chopped coriander leaves.

Flattened rice and curds make for the base ingredients of this dish.

This is a quick recipe and makes for a light meal.

Mix well with hand or spoon.

If needed add additional curd to these contents.

Curd poha (flattened rice) instructions

  1. Wash poha with water and keep it aside. Heat oil in one pan, add mustard, and jeera, saute well. Add pea nuts, chopped chillies, & dry chilli too. Add salt and sugar Roast well and off the gas stove..

  2. Add fresh curd to washed poha, & add roasted masala & mix well. Decorate with chopped coriander leaves and serve it as breakfast. Or evening time too..

Oggarane or Tempering for Curd Avalakki or Poha: Heat a frying pan, pour Ghee, add Raisins and Cashew nuts.

Fry until the nuts turn golden brown.

Use a spoon to transfer the Raisins and Cashews to the Curd-Poha.

Leave the Ghee in frying pan.
