Recipe: Tasty Dahi Kala pohe Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Dahi Kala pohe. 'Gopal' is the name of Lord Sri Krishna. 'Kala' means the mixture. So this dish is named as Gopalkala. It is is a mix of beaten rice/ poha, curd,milk, ghee, green chilli, sugar, salt and cucumber.

There is no hard and fast rule to make this dish.

You can cook Dahi Kala pohe using 15 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Dahi Kala pohe

  1. It’s 2 cup of Jade pohe.

  2. It’s 4 cup of Curd.

  3. It’s 3 teaspoon of Sugar.

  4. It’s 1 tablespoon of Salt.

  5. You need 7-8 of Curry leaves.

  6. You need 1/2 cup of Coriander leaves.

  7. You need 1/4 cup of Ground nuts.

  8. Prepare 2 teaspoon of Urad dal.

  9. You need 1 teaspoon of Jeera/ cumin seeds.

  10. It’s 1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard seeds.

  11. Prepare 1 of Pomogranate.

  12. You need 1 of Cucumber.

  13. It’s 4 of Banana.

  14. It’s 1 tablespoon of Ghee melted.

  15. Prepare 5-6 of Green chillies.

Take dahi into bowl, add salt and sugar.

Add puffed jawar, pomegranate, cucumber and.

Be it, kanda pohe, dadape pohe or dahi pohe.

Dahi Kala pohe step by step

  1. Take 2 cup jada poha,rinse with water and remove all water.

  2. After 5 mins in above mixture of poha add salt, sugar, curd, pomegranate, cutter cucumber,cutted banana coriander leaves..

  3. Melt ghee in pan and add mustard seeds, Jerry, coriander leaves, udid dal, Green Chili,groundnuts.

  4. Add above tadka mixture on poha.

  5. Mix thoroughly. And over simple and tasty dish is ready to serve.

  6. This PRASAD is given to bappa at the time of visarjan.

Dahi pohe is also called gopal kala, as it is also specially made at the time of Shree Krishn Janamashtami.

It is quite similar to curd rice but is a little different.

It is filling and easy to make.

It can be a breakfast, snack or light dinner as well..

Gopalkala is a savory dish made of beaten rice, cucumbers, green chilies, coconut and the tempering is done using ghee.
