Recipe: Tasty Dahi Kala pohe Delicious, fresh and tasty.
Dahi Kala pohe. So this dish is named as Gopalkala. It is is a mix of beaten rice/ poha, curd,milk, ghee, green chilli, sugar, salt and cucumber. This is also called as Dahi poha.
It is prepared from poha, curd, milk and topped up with cucumber mainly, pomegranate, guava or apple.
I felt the seasoning part is quiet interesting as ghee is used, which is the highlight.
This recepie is given as Prasad in ganpati at the time of ganpati visarjan.

Ingredients of Dahi Kala pohe

Prepare 2 cup of Jade pohe.

You need 4 cup of Curd.

You need 3 teaspoon of Sugar.

Prepare 1 tablespoon of Salt.

It’s 7-8 of Curry leaves.

You need 1/2 cup of Coriander leaves.

Prepare 1/4 cup of Ground nuts.

You need 2 teaspoon of Urad dal.

You need 1 teaspoon of Jeera/ cumin seeds.

You need 1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard seeds.

Prepare 1 of Pomogranate.

You need 1 of Cucumber.

You need 4 of Banana.

You need 1 tablespoon of Ghee melted.

It’s 5-6 of Green chillies.
The other variant here is Dahi poha.
Poha is washed and soaked with curd.
Mixed with a tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and turmeric powder.
This is a slightly sour-ish preparation of Poha.
Dahi Kala pohe instructions

Take 2 cup jada poha,rinse with water and remove all water.

After 5 mins in above mixture of poha add salt, sugar, curd, pomegranate, cutter cucumber,cutted banana coriander leaves..

Melt ghee in pan and add mustard seeds, Jerry, coriander leaves, udid dal, Green Chili,groundnuts.

Add above tadka mixture on poha.

Mix thoroughly. And over simple and tasty dish is ready to serve.

This PRASAD is given to bappa at the time of visarjan.
This is also called Gopal Kala at a few places and many a times is used as a prasad for Ganesh Visarjan too.
