This is a classic Parsi preparation that is very popular at weddings and other festive occasions.

Traditionally, the fish is coated in a coconut chutney mixture, wrapped in banana leaves, and steamed.

  1. Prepare 1 bunch of coriander leaves.

  2. You need 20 of Garlic cloves.

  3. You need 3 of Green chillies.

  4. You need 1 tsp of Cumin seeds.

  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Mustard seeds.

  6. You need 3 of Kashmiri red chillies.

  7. You need 10 of black pepper corns.

Place the fish parcels on a baking tray or jelly roll pan.

Remove from the oven & rest for a few minutes until cool enough to handle.

  1. Take a mixer jar and add coriander leaves, green chillies, coconut, cumin seeds, black pepper, salt, garlic, mustard seeds, lemon juice, sugar, 1 tbsp oil and grind it to make a fine paste..

  2. Take a banana leaf keep the masala and fish and fold to make packet..

  3. If you can not fold leaf then you can use foil paper and put leaf down as needed to make a packet you can them steam if you want..

  4. Take pan add 1 tbsp oil and add fish packet to fry for 10 minutes in a low flame. Serve hot..
