  5. It’s 1/2 tsp of haldi powder (turmeric).

  8. Prepare As needed of oil.

  9. Prepare 1 small of raw mango.

Lal shak instructions

  1. Grind together onion,garlic and Cumin Seeds and pepper.

  2. Heat oil in a pan.Add the paste and stir then add red chilli powder and salt and turmeric powder.

  3. Keep stirring until masala leaves oil.

  4. Now add washed shak and give a nice stir.Lower the flame.

  5. And let the shak cook when half done add sliced raw Mango..

  6. Cover the lid add little water and let it cook completely.

  7. Serve with steamed rice..

When almost all the water has dried up and only a little remains at the base of the kadhai, then increase the flame to high level.

Stir and cook till all the water is dried up.

The lal saag or lal palak ka saag or lal shak bhaja or lal chaulai ka saag or laal saag is ready to be served hot with hot rotis, chapatis, parathas or rice.
