Recipe: at dinner Soya  Nuggets  Curry Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Soya  Nuggets  Curry. Last week when I saw Sindhi Rasoi's soya nuggets curry, I was tempted to try it out. The reasons being, it looked delicious and second, she pressure cooked the nuggets. Hence, I decided to give these nuggets another try, with a new cooking technique, pressure cooking.

Soya chunks also called as meal maker or soya nuggets.

These are used widely in the Indian food as they are considered healthy, protein rich and a good alternate to those who want to refrain from eating meat.

Open the cooker when cool, add kasuri methi and garam masala powder and mix well.

You can have Soya  Nuggets  Curry using 18 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Soya  Nuggets  Curry

  1. Prepare of soya nuggets.

  2. Prepare of chopped french beans.

  3. It’s of chopped carrot.

  4. It’s of chopped potato.

  5. You need of chopped onion.

  6. It’s of chopped tomato.

  7. It’s of Few cashew nuts.

  8. You need of green chilly.

  9. It’s of cloves.

  10. Prepare of garam masala.

  11. Prepare of crushed paneer.

  12. It’s of sugar.

  13. You need of turmeric powder.

  14. Prepare of red chilly powder.

  15. It’s of dry red chilly.

  16. You need of Few chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves.

  17. It’s of Salt.

  18. It’s of oil.

Serve hot with rice or chapattis.

Soya Nuggets Curry (vegetarian Mutton Curry) Soya Nuggets are made from soybeans and they work well as meat substitutes.

Soya nuggets are odourless and tasteless food but this unique food is highly nutritious and full of proteins.

It is a healthy food item for young as well as for old people.

Soya  Nuggets  Curry step by step

  1. 1 cup soya nuggets. Dip in luke warm water with salt for 1 hrs. After 1 hrs. squeezed the water from soya nuggets. Transfer to a bowl. Keep aside..

  2. I have blunched vegetables. Like 1/2 cup chopped french beans, 1 chopped carrot and 1 chopped potato. Once it is done. Cool it and strain it. Dont thrrow the vegetables stock You can used in curry. Keep aside.

  3. Heat 2 tbsp refined oil. When the oil is hot… Add 1 cloves and a pinch of sugar. When sugar caramalised. Add 1 chopped onion. Fry for few minutes. Then add all the vegetables and soya nuggets. Mix…well..

  4. Add 1 chopped tomato, 2 chopped green chilly, few cashew nuts and 2 to 4 dry red chilly. Blend it and make a paste. Mix….well. Add 1/2 tsp garam masala and crushed paneer. Add vegetables stock. Mix it properly. Cover and cook till the vegetables soft and it is gravy..

  5. Open the lid. Add chopped coriander leaves and chopped mint leaves..

  6. Now the soya nuggets curry is ready to serve….with hot….chapatis.

In Odisha it is known as Soya badi (Vegetarian Mutton).

What is Soya Chunks/Soya Nugget Curry?

Soya chunks or soya nuggets are very Indian.

I have seen dried soy proteins such as soy curl or tempeh in USA stores quite a lot but failed to sight these tiny little nuggets elsewhere except in regional, Indian stores.
