  1. It’s 1 cup of Peanuts.

  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of White Sesame Seeds.

  3. It’s 1.5 cup of Jaggery.

  4. It’s 2 of Green Cardamom small.

  5. You need 1/2 cup of Plain Flour.

  6. It’s 1/2 cup of Foxtail millet Flour.

  10. Prepare 3 tablespoons of Cooking Oil.

Sesame Peanut Obbatu/Poli/Holige step by step

  1. In a wide bowl, take the flours..

  2. Add in the salt, turmeric powder and 2 tablespoons oil. Mix all the ingredients..

  3. Start adding required water gradually and knead the ingredients to form a smooth nonsticky dough..

  4. Add another tablespoon oil and grease the final dough completely. Cover and rest the dough for 15 minutes..

  5. Starting with the stuffing part, firstly, dry roast peanuts until they show discoloration, turns crunchy. Remove from the heat. Transfer roasted peanuts to a dry plate..

  6. Secondly, dry roast white sesame seeds until they turn golden. Remove from heat and transfer to a plate..

  7. Cool both the roasted ingredients completely..

  8. In a grinder, add the cooled ingredients along with jaggery, cardamom seeds into a powder. Neither too smooth nor too coarse consistency prefered..
