Make a batter with gram flour,adding salt turmeric powder,red chilli Powder green chilli chopped,and ginger.It should be thick consistency.

Heat oil in a pan and fry pakoras out of the mixture,keep aside..

Add jeera seeds and bay leaf in the remaining oil to temper and fry the Potatoes.

Now saute ginger with salt and turmeric powder.

Add all the powder masalas saute well.

Add tomato puree and saute along with the masalas.

As the masala starts releasing oil add water.

Boil the curry well and add the pakoras..

Finally add sugar and garam masala powder.

Serve it with hot and steaming plain rice.
Especially these are made during rainy days to serve with a hot cup of coffee /tea.
