Recipe: Yummy Mixed Flour Methi Poori Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Mixed Flour Methi Poori. Add the following spices - a pinch of asafoetida, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp red chili powder and ½ tsp carom seeds (ajwain seeds). Crumble and mix well, make sure that all spices are mixed well. Mix whole wheat flour, salt, ajwain, methi leaves and red chilli powder in a bowl.

To begin making the Methi Bajra Poori, firstly mix all the ingredients except the oil for deep frying, in a mixing bowl or in the bowl of a food processor.

Gradually add water and knead it into a firm yet pliable dough.

Methi Poori / Puri, Methi leaves mixed with besan and whole wheat flour and deep fry them in oil as we do for conventional poori.

We can prepare these poori like conventional poori also just with wheat flour.

I like adding besan with wheat flour it gives a wonderful taste to the poori.

In this methi bajra poori recipe, I have used a mix of pearl millet flour and whole wheat flour.

Mixed Flour Methi Poori instructions

  1. Clean, wash and chopped methi leaves. Take a bowl add all flours. Add Methi leaves and all dry spices mix well and make a soft dough by adding water. Keep for 10 minutes..

  2. Make a small lemon size balls and roll small poories. Keep a kadhai on medium flame add oil and let it get hot. Now deep fry poories till turns golden brown..

  3. The poories are ready to serve with curd,Chutney or ketchup..

Whole wheat flour makes it easier to roll the puris but you can go completely gluten-free by omitting the wheat.

Now mix sufficient water and knead a soft dough.

Now keep the dough covered for half an hour.

Put oil in the frying pan and heat it.
