  1. It’s 1.5 cup of uncooked rice.

  2. Prepare 1 cup of urad dal/ Black gram(unskinned).

  3. You need 1/2 cup of grated coconut.

  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of black pepper(roughly crushed).

  1. Soak rice & urad dal in separate bowl overnight.

  2. In the next morning clean them thoroughly & make a fine batter..

  3. Mix both the batter & add grated coconut,cottage cheese, sugar or jaggery, cashew nuts, raisins, black pepper & baking powder..

  4. Properly mix all the ingredients & keep it cover for 1 hour for fermentation..

  5. Preheat the pressure cooker & put the ghee & form a thin layer coating all over the inner surface.(here you can use oven also)..

  6. Pour the fermented batter into the cooker & cover it with lid without the whistle..

  7. Place the cooker in lower flame for about 40 to 50 mints.Then switch off the flame & wait the cooker to cool down..

  8. After that carefully remove the Pitha & cut into your desire shape..

  9. Enjoy the delicious Pitha..
