  3. Prepare 1 cup of curd.

  4. Prepare 3/4 of eno sachet.

  6. You need 1 of onion (white) chopped.

  7. Prepare 1 of green chili chopped.

  8. You need 1 tea spoon of white lentil soaked for 1 hour.

  9. You need 1/2 tea spoon of mustard seeds.

  10. Prepare 4-5 of small curry leaves.

  11. It’s 1 tbsp of refined oil.

This recipe is similar to the way we make Rava idli. apart from oats, I have also used rava or cream of wheat in the batter.

On occasions, I do add few veggies in the batter and at times I make the idlis without any veggies.

Oats Idli, a quick and easy to prepare nutritious breakfast recipe, has similar taste and soft and spongy texture of instant rava idli.

  1. Grind the oats into powder..

  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, white lentil,onions and green chili and saute till the onions become transparent.

  3. Add semolina and roast till it gives nice aroma then add oats powder and roast for 4-5 minutes..

  4. Add eno powder, pour some water on eno and mix well..

  5. Now pour the batter in greased idly stand and steam the idly for 10 minutes..

  6. Serve with coconut chutney. A very healthy and tasty breakfast..

  7. Now add curd,salt and water and make a fine batter..

In this recipe, we have used steel cut oats, however you can.
