I don't like alot of spice in my Ndengu, I'd rather have all the natural flavors and taste of the ndengus in my soup.

It’s 300 gm of polished green grams.

You need 2 of large tomatoes.

Prepare 1 of large onion.

You need 1/2 tsp of salt.

Prepare 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.

In a separate saucepan, put the oil, and chopped onion and fry on low heat..

Chop the tomatoes and add them to the onions. Add the salt, stir and cover to cook on low heat for 2 minutes until the tomatoes soften..

Add the green grams, stir and cover. Stir after 5mins then cover and cook for another 5mins..

In a small bowl mix your spice with 1 cup of the previously strained water. Add to the green grams and stir. Cover and cook for 5minutes. Then serve with your favourite accompaniment..

This greenish stew does not look very inviting, but the taste of the mung beans is wonderful!
