Oats haleem. Chicken Oats Haleem By Dr Shemmi N K. Haleem is a stewed dish popular in the Middle East, Central and Southern Asia. It consists of meat usually cooked with lentils, wheat and barley.

It is very simple to make and very tasty.

Oats nutritious haleem is a healthy concoction of oats cooked with vegetables like peas, carrots and moong sprouts.

A healthy and soluble fibre rich oats haleem is perfect dish for children and elderly people.

You can have Oats haleem using 12 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Oats haleem

  1. Prepare 1 cup of Oats.

  2. You need 1/2 cup of Moong dal.

  3. It’s 1/2 cup of masoor dal.

  4. Prepare 100 gm of chicken.

  5. It’s 1/2 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.

  6. You need 1/2 tsp of Coriander powder.

  7. It’s 2 tsp of red chilli powder.

  8. It’s 1/4 tsp of garam masala powder.

  9. It’s 1 tbsp of ghee.

  10. It’s 1/2 of onion sliced.

  11. Prepare 2 tbsp of Coriander leaves.

  12. You need 1 tsp of Mint leaves.

Overnight oats is a feel good start to the day topped with nuts and honey.

Today i am sharing a desi style recipe with oats.

Yes, you can make haleem from oats and enjoy with your family 🙂 One recipe is with homemade spices and other one is with ready made Haleem.

Oats haleem instructions

  1. Soak moong dal, masoor dal for 2 hours. After 2 hours drain it..

  2. In a pressure cooker add chicken, soaked dals, oats, all spices, Salt and 2 cup water..

  3. Cook till 3 pressure Or until chicken seems tender and all dals cooked well and seems mashy..

  4. Separate chicken pieces and shred it..

  5. If you see water then strain the water and keep aside. and if you dont find water then will add some Water afterwards..

  6. Mix chicken pieces with oats mixed dal..

  7. Now in Pot add chicken oats mix dal paste, 1/2 cup remained water and cook for 10 minute..

  8. In a pan heat ghee and cook onion until brown. This is our tadka..

  9. In serving bowl pour oats haleem, prepared tadka, some coriander leaves, some mint leaves..

  10. Serve hot with lemon..

How to make Haleem in the Instant Pot.

Add the meat, sauté for a bit, then add the rest of the IP ingredients and pressure cook with the Meat/Stew Setting.
