Ingredients of BeetRoot Daliya Halwa

  1. Prepare 1/2 cup of Fine daliya (Cracked wheat).

  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of Suji.

  3. You need 1/2 cup of Grated Beetroot.

  4. You need 1/2 cup of Milk.

  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of thick malai.

  6. You need 3/4 Cup of sugar or as per your sweetness.

  7. You need 1 tbsp of pure desi ghee.

  8. Prepare of Water as required.

  9. It’s 1/4 tsp of elaichi powder.

  10. It’s of Dryfruits for garnishing.

Dalia or daliya is also known as wheat rava , broken wheat, cracked wheat, lapsi etc.

As dalia or daliya is made with whole raw wheat, it contains the nutrition of whole wheat as it does not undergo any processing to refine it.

When the daliya is completely cooked and the water is completely absorbed add sugar or jaggery.

  1. Heat pure desi ghee in a Nonstick pan.. Add daliya and Suji Fry in a low to medium flame until golden brown colour.. occasio.

  2. Then add grated beetroot and Malai.. cook for 1 min..

  3. Now add Milk and water.. and mix it very well.and low the flame and close the lid.cook for 10 min.. occasionally stir..

  4. Then add 1 tsp ghee… And elaichi powder.. and Mix well.. your beetroot Daliya Halwa is ready.

  5. Take a mold and place it on serving plate…

  6. When Daliya is completely cooked and water is absorbed add sugar..and allow to melt. Mix it.. cook until Halwa thickens…

Add cardamom powder and mix well.

Take the halwa into a serving bowl and garnish with fried cashews and raisins.
