I have used onion in this recipe, but you can skip it if you don,t want it. I always try variety in Paratha and shared many unique recipes of Paratha earlier which were liked very much.

The recipes is very simple and also filling for a breakfast or Lunch.

Ingredients of Raw Banana Paratha

  1. You need 3 of raw banana.

  2. It’s 2 of green chilli.

  3. It’s Handful of coriander.

  4. You need Handful of mint.

  5. You need 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp of garam masala.

  8. It’s to taste of Salt.

  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Chaat masala.

  10. It’s 1 1/2 cup of Wheat flour.

  11. Prepare of Water.

  12. Prepare of Oil.

Raw banana mixed with Ajwain gives it an earthy flavor to the whole dish.

Raw Banana Paratha instructions

  1. Take a mixing bowl add 1 1 /2 cup wheat flour,salt and add water as required and knead the dough and keep it aside.

  2. Take 3 raw banana cut them half and put it into pressure cooker and add 1 cup water and pressure cook it for untill 5 whistles..

  3. Once done let the cooker cool down and open the lid and take the raw banana in the other bowl and peel the skin of the banana.

  4. Then mash the raw banana and add chopped green chilli,mint,coriander,red chilli powder, turmeric powder,Chaat masala,salt,garam masala and mix it.

  5. Then take the dough make a round ball and roll it with help of rolling pin..

  6. Then add the stuffing in the center.

  7. Take the edge and start pleating as well as bringing the pleats in the center..

  8. Join the pleats together. the pleats have to be joined well, as otherwise there will be gaps while rolling and the filling comes out..

  9. Press the joined top portion slightly downward from the center.Dust it in the flour and roll it again and roll it evenly dont keep the edges thick..

  10. Pre heat the tava and transfer the paratha on the tava and cook it..

  11. When the base is partly cooked, flip the paratha.and add ghee and cook it untill the paratha turn a little golden brown and its cooked all over. Keep pressing the edges with help of spatula so that they are cooked from the edges too..

  12. Once done turn off the flame and transfer it in to the serving plate..

  13. Serve it with curd & pickle this is best for the people who love aloo paratha but are Jain because raw banana is best substitute for potatoes.

It is usually made with Aloo, onion or paneer as a stuffing.

But it is very rare to use raw banana and raw stem in a stuffed paratha, here in this recipe we have put them.
