  3. You need 2 tbsp of oil.

  4. It’s 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds.

  5. It’s 2 of green chilies.

  6. Prepare 8-10 of curry leaves.

  7. You need 1 pinch of asafoetida.

  8. You need 1/2 tsp of haldi/Turmeric powder.

  9. Prepare 1/2 cup of rosted chana (gram)dal.

  10. It’s 1/2 cup of khakhra broken.

  11. You need 1 tsp of powdered sugar.

  12. It’s to taste of Salt.

Oats and poha chivda step by step

  1. Take 1 cup oats in pan.roast in medium flame till it turns brown and crispy.remove in a plate and keep aside..

  2. In same pan add poha and rest them 2-3 minutes. remove them in same plate and keep aside. Now heat the oil in pan..

  3. Add mustured seeds. add green chilli and add curry leaves. saute until crispy..

  4. Add hing and turmic powder.Now add chili powder and amchur powder and saute well..

  5. Now add oats and poha. And add chana dal and season seeds. And mix well..

  6. Add the khakhra. And add sugar and salt. Mix and saute on medium flame 1 minute.Our chivda is ready..

Since oats do not give that extra crunch to the chivda, I use them in combination with either poha, cornflakes or puffed rice.

I have used organic rolled oats and they are the best to make this chivda.

There is no specific ratio or proportion to follow to make this.
